Seeds

So still this soil of my longing
Dry to touch, no sign of spring
But in this dark the seed will wait
Unseen work beneath my faith

I walk this quiet, hidden ground
Not knowing life, yet hearing sound
Your Word takes root in unseen night
It awakens roots beyond my sight

You stir inside though I cannot see
You speak new life, awaken hope in me

Until the dawn I will believe
Through weight of dirt I still can breathe
Buried seeds begin their climb
You carry me to brighter skies

Hope alive where life seemed dead
Your promise stirs within my stead
Eternal shift within these veins
Your promise filled, hope remains

Each season stretches in the dark
Days of waiting till fear departs
Though I cannot see the root beneath
I know You work in every seed

When doubt assails and shadows wait
Your whisper stirs within this place
A gentle voice beneath the storm
Shape this faith, my path restored

Will You rise though I cannot see
Speaking hope, You steady me

Until the dawn I will believe
Through weight of dirt I still can breathe
Buried seeds begin their climb
You carry me to brighter skies

Hope alive where life seemed dead
Your promise stirs within my stead
Eternal shift within these veins
Your promise filled, hope remains

In the silence seeds are sown
Roots unseen, life is grown
When the night is thick and long
Your voice brings my morning dawn

When dawn arrives, I’ll see You rise
From buried ground my heart alive
New life blooms where death once reigned
In light You call me, all is changed

Hope that lived in shadows wait
Now walks in truth, new skies awake
Eternal spring within these veins
Your promise filled, hope remains

From root to bloom You draw me there
Stillness breaks as morning flares
Hope remains, my heart awakes
