Echoes of Eden

One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his temple.

  • Psalm 27:4

To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

  • Revelation 2:7

A garden lost but not forgotten
A voice that calls through broken autumn

Through the ruins light still grows
Shadows break where rivers flow
Every scar a path to see
A world remade inside of me

I hear it calling through the haze
A brighter dawn, a song of praise

I see a garden where the fire cannot reach
Where every stone becomes a seed
The rivers sing of what was lost
And carry me to what will be
Through every fracture, light is born
A home eternal, a hope restored
Not far away
I hear the echoes calling me

Every thorn has burned away
Every night becomes the day
The ground is soft, the air is clear
The voice of love is drawing near

I hear it rising through the haze
A brighter dawn, a song of praise

I see horizons where the shadows cannot tread
The trees of life stand tall instead
The rivers sing, the broken heal
The wounds of time no longer feel
Through every fracture, light is born
A home eternal, a hope restored
Not far away
I hear the echoes calling me

Every tear becomes a stream
Every scar has been redeemed
Every loss becomes the seed
For life eternal, love decreed

I see the garden rise in flame
Yet untouched, it speaks my name
The rivers roar, the shadows cease
The echoes sing of endless peace
No crown of dust, no broken throne
I’ve found the place I’ve always known
The echoes rise, eternity
Eden calls and carries me
